Smithsonian African American History and Culture

The Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) is offering a series of downloadable posters titled “A Place For All People: Introducing the National Museum of African American History and Culture.” The posters are based on the museum’s exhibitions exploring African American history, culture, and community. The posters are available at no cost, but some brief information must be provided prior to downloading.

Jazz Ambassadors

In the 1950s to 1970s, the State Department sent U.S. jazz musicians to tour the globe. This poster show recounts the experiences of these American “Jazz Ambassadors,” embraced by enthusiastic audiences from Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Latin America. The eight-panel poster show is available in Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
